Goodbye Heather!

colonelpanicIt is with great sadness we announce the departure of our esteemed colleague Heather Klein. Heather has been a Technical Support Specialist with us for nearly three years, and we’ve all had the good fortune of working with her and enjoying her cheerful personality and magnanimous friendship, as well as her animal-like cunning and natural rapport with all creatures great and small.

Around the time we hired Heather, we noticed an increase in the tendency for the famous superheroine Colonel Panic to arrive on the scene whenever a dire IT emergency occurred on campus. At first we thought it was merely a coincidence, but we started noticing little things, odd things.

Like, whenever Colonel Panic burst through the wall or ceiling to make an entrance, Heather was nowhere to be found. She’d always have a convenient excuse, along the lines of, “Oh, I fainted behind the building…what did I miss?” And then there was the slight resemblance Heather shared with Colonel Panic. We started asking questions, and Heather became more and more dismissive and abrupt with her excuses and answers…and now she’s resigned her position and is “leaving the area.”

HeatherRumor has it Heather has taken a new job near Seattle. I wouldn’t be surprised if Colonel Panic started showing up a bit more often in the Seattle area, arriving on the scene just in the nick of time for IT disasters and emergencies, championing the strong and the meek, fighting for truth, justice and a world without viruses, malware and spam.

Goodbye and good luck, Heather! We’ll miss you!
