Novell and Active Directory Password Synchronization
On Monday, October 27, OIT will implement Novell and Active Directory password synchronization.
Novell account passwords are used for accessing:
- Novell Login
- GroupWise
- BroncoWeb
- Blackboard
- PeopleSoft Finance
- VPN
- Google Apps for Employees
Active Directory accounts are used for accessing:
- Campus Websites
- Terminal Services
- Microsoft Windows (for computers on the BoiseState domain)
- Some Departmental Applications
Previously, passwords for these systems had to be changed separately. Beginning October 27, when you change a password in one system, it will change in the other system automatically.
The only exception will be for College of Engineering and College of Applied Technology. Customers in those areas should consult with their local network administrators.
