Now you don’t have to!

The Office of Information Technology has implemented a Guest Access option for campus wireless access that anyone can use, and that doesn’t require Clean Access authentication.

Guest Access

Guest Access is available on the University wireless network (but not the residence hall network) and allows access to the Internet and campus web applications such as:

  • BroncoWeb
  • BroncoMail powered by Google
  • Blackboard
  • Access to external non-BSU services via DNS, FTP and VPN

Authenticated Access

For those who need wireless connectivity to additional computing resources, Authenticated Access is available on the University wireless network (and is required on the residence hall network).

Authenticated Access allows access to all of the services listed under Guest Access, as well as the following additional services:

  • GroupWise email and calendaring
  • GroupWise POP and IMAP
  • Campus VPN
  • SSH
  • SFTP
  • Microsoft network login
  • Novell network login
  • Access to external non-BSU services via SSH and Remote Desktop

How to Use Guest Access

Log in with Guest Access

Log in with Guest Access

Guest Access on the University’s public wireless network is available by opening a web browser; the web browser should automatically direct to the University’s wireless website. Click the Guest Access button on the left side of the page to log in to the system (don’t log in with your username and password).

More information on using Guest Access and Authenticated Access can be found on the Help Desk website at http://helpdesk.boisestate.edu/network/wireless
