Patch Released for Critical Apple QuickTime Flaws

Apple has released a security update for QuickTime to fix several serious security issues. All Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X 10.3, 10.4 and 10.5 machines should immediately download and install the update. Microsoft Windows users can update QuickTime by opening Internet Explorer or Firefox and browsing to:

Mac users can update by accessing Software Update under the Apple menu at the top-left of their Mac desktop, or by launching Software Update under System Preferences. Detailed information on the QuickTime security flaws can be found on Apple’s website.
